Locking
- A funky dance style that originated in the 70s In Los Angeles, California.
Accidently invented by Don Campbell after improperly performing the “Funky Chicken” move, which resulted in the foundation move called “Lock”. - Other foundational moves of Locking: wrist rolls, gimme five, points, and keeping pace.

Arm Waves
- A smooth, flowy movement of the joints of the arms.
Floorwork
- A dance routine performed primarily on the floor, usually executed while lying on the ground
Isolation
- A concept where a specific body part is moved and emphasized while keeping the rest of the body completely still

- An up and down movement of the whole body, typically involving the knees, torso, chest, or head.
